Good teams making important decisions with data they don't quite trust. Not for lack of talent, but because nobody has taken the manual work underneath each report off their hands.
In a company of 50 or 150 people there's rarely a data team. There's a finance director spending the first week of every month consolidating spreadsheets, an IT person with plenty on already, and a macro built by someone who has left and that nobody dares to touch. And the budget the big consultancies ask for to fix it bears no relation to the real size of the problem.
MaxGenData exists to sit exactly there: take one specific report, leave it running on its own, charge a fixed price for it and walk away having documented everything. No twelve-month projects and no new dependency. What's new is the company, not the way of working: it's the same one used on projects far more tangled than a monthly close.

There are few of us and we take on few projects at a time, by choice. It seems more useful that you know before writing to us.
There's an uncomfortable side: we don't take on twelve-month transformations, and there are things we don't do. And there's a good side: no salesperson selling you one thing and a junior delivering another, you don't pay for anyone's overhead, and when something doesn't add up you ask the person who built it.

You know the cost before we start. If it takes us longer than planned, that's our problem, not yours.

If in the first meeting we see you don't need us, or need something else, we'll say so. It works out better for both.
