That report you rebuild by hand every month can update itself

We connect it to your sources, leave it running on its own and hand over the documentation, so you depend on no one. It starts with a one-hour meeting, free of charge.

We don't touch your ERP No data team required No lock-in
How we start

Before you commit to anything

  • You fill in the form: two minutes
  • First meeting: one hour, free
  • A written proposal with scope, phases and a fixed price
  • You decide with everything in front of you, or you decide nothing

We teach other data professionals at

SQLBits Power BI & Fabric Summit Data Saturday Madrid

You don't need to know these events. We mention them only so you know we won't be learning on your report.

The problem

If this happens to you every month, keep reading

You don't need a digital transformation programme to fix it. You need to get the most time-consuming report out of the way.

Month-end eats the first week

Exports from the ERP, cross-checks against the purchasing spreadsheet, manual fixes for what the CRM doesn't carry. By the time the report is ready, it's too late to act on it.

In the meeting, someone says your figure is wrong

Sales brings one number, you bring another, and twenty minutes go on arguing where each one comes from instead of deciding what to do.

There's a macro nobody dares to touch

Built by someone who no longer works here. It works, but nobody knows what it does inside. The day it breaks, month-end slips.

The offer

One report. Running on its own. With the same figures as today.

We start from a report that already exists and that you already use, not from new metrics. It's the only way the result actually gets used from month one.

What's always included

  • We connect your current sources — ERP, CRM, spreadsheets — without modifying them
  • We rebuild the report and check it figure by figure against your last close
  • It refreshes itself: when you open it, it's up to date
  • A handover session so you know how it works
  • Documentation of how it's built, so you don't depend on us

The handover shows you how the delivered work behaves. Training for your team, so they can build and change their own reports, is a separate service.

Pricing

Why you won't find a price list here

Because it would depend on something we don't know yet: the real state of your data.

Two projects that look identical from the outside can take weeks or months. A report wired to a single database can be months of work if that database is undocumented, if tables contradict each other, or if nobody remembers why a field exists. And the other way round: what looks like a mess sometimes resolves quickly.

Putting a number on this page would leave us two options: make it up, or pad it so we're never wrong. We'd rather look at your case and give you a figure we can stand behind.

How we get to a price

  1. You write to us through the form Two minutes. We ask just enough to know whether we can help and to come to the meeting prepared.
  2. A one-hour meeting, free We go through the report, the sources and the access with you. You leave with our opinion even if you hire nobody.
  3. If the map isn't clear, an in-depth assessment When the scope can't be pinned down in a conversation, we do it as separate, quoted work. It's the only assessment we charge for, and it's deducted if you go ahead with the build.
  4. A fixed proposal in writing Scope, phases, timeline and price. No open-ended hour banks and no conditions appearing halfway through.
The process

How the work goes, phase by phase

What stalls these projects is almost never the budget: it's not having time to take one on. So the bulk of the effort is ours, and your team only appears where it's genuinely needed.

Phase 1

The first meeting

You tell us which report hurts most, where the data comes from and who builds it today.

Your time: 1 hour

Phase 2 · optional

In-depth assessment

Only if the scope can't be pinned down by talking. It's the only assessment we charge for, and we tell you beforehand.

Your time: depends on scope

Phase 3

The proposal

We send you the scope, phases, timeline and price in writing. No small print.

Your time: none

Phase 4

Connection and model

We connect your sources and build the data model on our own.

Your time: none

Phase 5

First version and reviews

We compare its figures against your last close, one by one. Two rounds of review are included.

Your time: 1 hour per round

Phase 6

Delivery and handover

We leave it running, hand it over in a session and deliver the documentation.

Your time: 1 hour

The timeline depends on the project: some reports are done in a couple of weeks, others are months of work. Either way, we fix it in writing in the proposal and it doesn't move along the way.

Why MaxGenData

You always talk to the person doing the work

There's no salesperson selling you one thing and a junior delivering another. Whoever runs the meeting is the one building the data model and the one answering when something doesn't add up.

We're a small team and we take on few projects at a time. That limits what we can accept, and it seems fair to say so: we don't do twelve-month transformations. In exchange, you know exactly who is handling your data.

Who we are

A fixed price, not an hour bank

You know the cost before we start. If it takes us longer than planned, that's our problem.

You don't depend on us afterwards

We hand over documentation of how everything is built, plus a session to walk through it with you. No lock-in and no odd clauses.

We don't touch your production systems

We read from your sources, we don't write to them. Your ERP keeps working exactly as it does today.

Transparency

Why you won't see client logos

The company is new; the craft isn't. Behind it are years of solving complex data projects in companies of every size, much of it under confidentiality agreements we're not going to break to fill a website.

So there are no borrowed logos here, no invented testimonials and no result figures we can't back up. What you can check before hiring anyone: how we work, what you'll receive, and examples of the report format we deliver, built with fictional data.

What we don't do

  • ERP migrations
  • Twelve-month transformations
  • "Let's build the data lake and see what happens"
  • Hour banks with no defined scope

If what you need is on this list, we'll tell you in the first meeting and save you the time.

Frequently asked

What people ask us before starting

How much does it cost?

It depends on the real scope, which is why we publish no rates. The price is set by the number of sources, the state of the data and the access available: a report wired to a single database can be solved in weeks or take months depending on what that database looks like inside. We look at it in the first meeting, which costs nothing, and then put it in writing.

Is the first meeting charged for?

No. One hour by video call, free and with no strings attached. The only thing we charge for is the in-depth assessment, which is a different thing: analysis work with its own deliverable, and only when it's needed to fix a price.

How much of my team's time do you need?

Little, and concentrated: the first meeting, one review of the first version and the handover session. From your team we need read access to the sources and someone who can settle the occasional business question.

Will you touch our ERP?

No. We read from your sources, we don't write to them. Your ERP, your CRM and your processes keep working exactly as they do today. If access needs coordinating with your IT person or provider, we deal with them directly.

Who maintains it once you're done?

Your team, if it wants to: we hand over documentation of how everything is built and walk through it together in a handover session. If you also want your team to learn to build reports on its own, that's training and it's quoted separately. And if you'd rather not think about it, there's a monthly maintenance fee with no lock-in. What you won't get is a black box only we understand.

Who do you work with?

Mostly companies of 50 to 200 employees, in any sector, that keep their data in an ERP, a CRM and spreadsheets and have no data team of their own. If you already have in-house analysts, you probably don't need us.
